All our Blades are handmade
Our craftsmen carefully select their steels to guarantee you the most perfect blades for both cutting and decorating.
For decorative blades, we recommend 1060 steel.
For tameshigiri for beginners, we recommend 1070 steel.
For experienced cutters, we recommend 1095 or T10 steel.

Katana Sword Store works with a small group of blacksmiths in the city of Longquan. Our forge has been practicing the art of blade making for more than 3 generations.
Our blacksmiths work with different types of high carbon steel under different traditional Japanese patterns such as Maru, Damas, San Mai, Kobuse and Hon San Mai.
